We had a pretty busy Christmas and New Years period, so we decided to shut shop for the christmas week. All businesses seemed to be doing the same thing, oddly. Today is a double update day, to get the comic back up to speed with the schedule, so you’ll notice that there’s a strange thing happening on the calendar, where the last week of updates has now got a comic entry on the friday, where there was not one.

Enjoy it, it’s just for you. Call it a late Christmas present. Think of it like we’re that uncle that’s always late with giving presents. Tune in for regular updates Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

I just wanted to post a quick update for you all. There are some known issues with the website. Things like wierd string of characters popping up when you navigate through the comics and things like that.

I’m in the process of building a new site for Ticket to Ride. I think you’re going to love the changes. It just means that there’s some downtime to put up with where there may be some issues with your experience on the site. I apologise for any inconvenience, but don’t let them dissuade you from enjoying our comic, which we love to produce for you.

Keep reading mon, wed and fri. We’ll keep making them. Deal? Cool.

There’s some updates to the site structure coming soon, we’re going to try and make things look a little more flashy. It’s for you. Because you deserve it.

In the meantime, we’re still here, still plugging away, still updating 3 times a week. We hope you’re enjoying our little comic!

So, another week has gone by, and we’re still here. Well, I’m here; Paul has gone to Melbourne for the weekend. But that’s cool, you know, he can go hang out in Melbourne doing “stuff” and drinking his expensive “local beer”. I’ll just stay here and renovate my house.

All fucking weekend.

Did you know that if a plasterboard ceiling has not been properly sealed and undercoated, normal housepaint will not adhere, and will begin cracking and peeling after a short amount of time? Days, literally. The people that used to own this house didn’t seem to know this. But I know now. Oh boy do I ever.

There’s a design change coming to the website soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that. We’re also trying to integrate some social media functionality; I see the facebook “like” button is working (3 likes!) but the google+ button seems to be a bit broken currently.

More interactivity and creativity coming in the days ahead! Stay tuned!

As for my writing background, the only experience I have in the industry is sending the occasional love letter to famous web comic alumni. So it is a new experience for me being able to work in a medium that doesn’t involve a stack of magazines, some scissors, some craft glue, and my unrequited love.

Don’t worry Scott Kurtz, I’ll still send you a lock of my hair on your birthday. Just like I do every year.

I’m really excited about working with Paul, he’s a fantastic artist and I only hope my scripts will do his work justice.

For all the new readers who are chiming in, welcome!
This is a great time to jump on board with the comic. For one, it’s at the beginning of the story; it’s all fresh and shiny.

For the older readers, who know the history of this comic, you’ll notice that the archive has vanished. This is, in fact a reboot.
I want to assure you that the reasons I chose to scrap the archive and start again only came about because i’m so excited by the new material written by the new writer Ross Pearson. The new direction ‘clicks’. It really works and I think you’ll enjoy what’s to come.

I guess the only way you’ll find out, is by sticking around and reading every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
